Canson XL Bristol Pad, Vellum, 11in x 14in

This pad is lovely to work on. Haven’t used it a whole lot yet, but noticed it allows for a smooth laydown of colored pencils without a lot of effort and works well with ink pens. It’s not really designed for water washes, but it’s so fun to lay down watercolor pencils on them and just add a very light application of water because the colors are so vibrant and the laydown is so smooth. If you are careful with the water, you can get very minimal buckling – similar to hotpress paper. [...]
