Expressions Batiks

We are excited to soon carry a brand new line of batiks from Riley Blake Designs – coming in early December. Riley Blake is an established brand for quilting fabrics but they have up until now focused more on contemporary modern print fabrics and have never done any batiks. Imagine our surprise at Fall Quilt Market in Houston this year when we passed by the Riley Blake booths and saw a fabulous display of gorgeous batik collections and projects!
The friendly company reps were eager to let us know that they will be entering the batik market with their new line called Expressions Batiks coming this December 2022. They have also partnered with several well-known quilt designers (Quiltworx, Cozy Quilts, Whimsical Workshop to name a few…) to feature their new fabric collections with beautiful projects. We excitedly ordered a large collection of batiks from their first & second release and can be now purchased here. We will also have several of the project patterns available as well.

Bali Palettes Lagoon
New Release! July 2022
We are pleased to be one of the first shops to carry the complete brand new collection of Bali Palettes Lagoon batiks from Benartex. This collection is just released to the public this month and features a calm tropical lagoon palette of blues, greens, turquoise, and teals.
Benartex is known for their triple-dyed Bali Batik fabrics. Typically batik fabrics are hand-dyed twice during the artisan process – once to set the color of the pattern that will be created by the copper stamping, and a second time to set the color of the background around the stamp pattern. Benartex’s Triple-Dyed Bali Batiks feature a third dye step to create even more deep, saturated and variegated colors in the fabric.

We are very excited to feature this limited once-a-year release from Hoffman of Alaska themed Batiks. These beautiful fabrics are a special collection which is not available in the standard Hoffman catalog and are only offered to a limited number of stores. In addition to the custom Alaska designs, fabrics from the Into the Wild and From the Depths collections by Wildfire Designs Alaska are included here as well. Because these batiks are only made once a year, we are unable to re-order more when these are sold out. Once they are gone – they are gone!

Here at Creekside Quilts we have a special edition product feature from Island Batik to show you. We have just received a shipment of 2.5″ Strip Packs featuring Island Batik tonal blenders. We have ten different strip packs with two strips each of 20 different tonal shades in each pack. This is a limited edition collection of gorgeous tonal color strip packs that are not part of the standard Island Batik catalog.
We just received another brand new collection from Island Batik from the creative mind of Kathy Engle called Proud Peacock. The beautiful jewel-toned colors of blues, green, purples, and yellow is sure to be a stunning addition to your next project and/or fabric collection.
