In this quilt, whimsical snails pull tiny letters along, while lovebirds perch nearby, echoing the tender devotion shared between two hearts separated by distance.
This BOM design reflects the youthful, playful energy of young love in a modern throwback to the tradition of snail mail. Each appliqué and motif honors the thoughtfulness, patience, and heartfelt connection found in every handwritten letter, a gentle reminder that love is always worth the wait.

Originally created as my very first pattern with Island Batik in 2017, it seemed perfectly fitting to remake and reimagine it in fresh, spring inspired colors. The result, Tangled Twigs in bright, cheerful hues, is simply delightful.
Linen Letters 2

Linen Letters was inspired by the stacks of letters my husband’s parents exchanged while Dad was overseas in the military service, each page carrying their thoughts, hopes, and quiet devotion.
Though most were written on plain tablet paper, I chose notebook paper for the design, a familiar, comforting format that instantly evokes the act of writing and preserves the warmth and intimacy of those handwritten messages in the quilt.
Raw edge fusible applique. Full upper and lower case alphabet included.
We recommend HOTFIX fusible web for the applique.

NOTE: The red, white and blue fabrics used in the quilt features Terri’s special Morse Code fabric with the hidden messages “Sweetheart”, “Darling” and “Love”.
