Description The Basilica Doors Christmas ornament is  one in a series of ornaments featuring aspects of the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica and its environs. From the stained glass windows inside, to the crucifix above the altar, the facade of the church, and even the Boniface Wimmer statue that guards the entrance to the church, these metal ornaments are produced by Beacon Design of Rhode Island for Saint Vincent Archabbey. The 2020 ornament features the the front doors of the Saint Vincent Basilica. Saint Benedict said in Chapter 53 of his Rule for monks, “All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ.” For collectors, this was the 25th in the series. The ornament was designed by Father Vincent de Paul Crosby, O.S.B., a Benedictine monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey.
