I really like this. The ivory porcelain and simple silvery detail looks great. It’s sturdy for at-home use, but if you’re taking any transportation but a private car, I’d be careful about packing a porcelain bowl for public or commercial transport.It has a protrusion in the middle of the base that helps me get the most out of the cream in my brush. It’s very easy to rinse clean if you make sure to do it while it’s still wet.While it’s a nice bowl, it’s not a particularly good value. It’s a simple little bowl for nearly forty dollars. I’ve been using older shaving methods for a few years now, but never bothered to get a mug or bowl specifically made for shaving cream. I finally figured I’d see what the fuss was about, and I can now say for sure that you don’t really need it. Most people would have a bowl or mug or small food storage container that will work just fine.Indulging in “unnecessary” things can feel nice sometimes, and if that’s what this is for you, by all means treat yourself. It’s nice. It matches my ivory and silver-toned razor and brush and is now one of the things that makes shaving feel like more of a ritual than a chore. I probably wouldn’t pay the price again, but I do enjoy it.
